Something interesting to share about job hunting in relationship to earning some side money.
Recently I got an email from LinkedIn, saying that based on my profile on LinkedIn, I am invited to contribute my thoughts to a research study that a LinkedIn client is conducting on Software Developer Tools. Of course, as a courtesy, LinkedIn will pay some $$.
So I just went ahead and did the research survey. It took 20 minutes to complete the questionnaire, most questions are easy as they are in my ballpark of knowledge anyway.
Towards the end, LinkedIn presents the choice of Amazon gift card, or PayPal transfer etc. to deposit the money.
What's more interesting is that, at the end of the survey, LinkedIn also asked if I am willing to participate in another survey in a few weeks? Plus it said that LinkedIn wants to invite me to participate in research studies as frequently as I would like to.
So there you go, while folks are doing job hunting, it might be an added bonus to get onto the research study with LinkedIn to earn some cash.
To do this, you need to update your LinkedIn profile to be really professional in your field. In my case, it is software/server development.

I also did a survey few months ago, but that was it. Anyway better than nothing.
