I've just read the news that the owner of the Segway company (Jimi Heselden) died in England, after he rode the two-wheeled Segway and fell off a cliff.
Segway is based in New Hampshire. It was founded in 1999 as a vehicle that was good for the environment. Segway claims that the two-wheeler is 11 times more efficient than the average American car. It can also be used indoors because it has no emissions. A lot of police departments and private security firms use it to patrol malls indoor.
However, because it is not easy to keep a balance on the Segway, there are some high profile accidents associated with it. For example, President George W. Bush tried one out in 2003, but the machine toppled over when he tried to get on it.
Too bad that the millionaire Jimi just bought the company for 10 months and died of his own company's product. That just tells that Segway could be dangerous, if not operated correctly.

Any vehicle is dangerous if not operated correctly.
George Bush fell off because he would fall off anything. Seriously though, he fell of because he hit something first. What happenned when you first tried to ride a bike. Many fall almost immediatly.
My 11 year old has been riding his Segway for 5 years and has never fallen off!
