In Bellevue, Genki Sushi
is having a grand opening for its new location in the Factoria Mall. It is the 4th location in Washington State (all others are in Hawaii). The Factoria location is running the $1 promotion from 03/17/11 through 03/20/11 (Sunday).
It is revolving conveyor belt Sushi (Kaiten Sushi) style. Open from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Broadway (Capitol Hill Area)
Some friends already visited there and said taste not bad, except you have to wait a while as so many people there.

Since it is cheap, just $1 each sushi dish, people ordered a LOT to eat. So wait time was an hour around.

More expensive than Sushi Land and not very tasty. However, given their $1 promotion, not bad to give a try.

It is Saturday noon and a lot of people waiting outside the Sushi store, would be at least 1 hour

to #2, Genki's reduced their prices so Genkis now more cheaper than sushiland. $2 genki highest price plate compared to sushiland's $3 highest plate. Hawaii Locals prefer Genki's sweeter taste.

We've been to Sushi Mojo
in Bellevue. It is also a conveyor belt style Japanese restaurant, taste not bad. Sometimes you might also get $5 off $25.

Though the genki sushi grand opening is over, but lot of their dishes are 1 dollar, so still worthwhile to go.

They have quite some one dollar sushi plates. But sometimes it takes a while to get it as they try to get you to eat all the $2 or $3 plates. The best is to just order directly the $1 plates, to avoid waiting forever. Plus, not all $1 plates are available on the belt, if you don't order it.

We went to the Marinepolis Sushi Land
today. Their sushi in the plate seems bigger than the Factoria Genki Sushi. Also different taste.
However, the Factoria Genki Sushi does seem cleaner and a bit more high-end than Marinepolis Sushi Land.

So, we went to Genki Sushi to eat tonight and found out that they have raised the price. The $1 dishes are gone, replaced with $1.30/plate. Other dishes/plates also raised price accordingly.
This looks like an early indication that food prices will go up next year. Folks, be prepared to the pricing hike starting next year!
