My Research On Bellevue Skylight Repair Services
Recently my skylight window was accidentally hit by a small gravel and left a hole. That got me started on researching a good skylight repair company. Below is the list of companies that I contacted or will contact to get quotes.
Royal Glass Co
1216 S Weller St, Seattle, WA 98144, 206-324-1340
Comment: very good and professional service. Price is quite affordable, highly recommend!
Glass Doctor
402 Baker Blvd, Tukwila, WA, 98188, 1-800-965-4147
Comment: This company is said to have good service. So I asked they for a free quote. The guy came and after looking at the broken skylight window, he quoted about $600 to get it replaced.
Bellevue Roofing
13212 N.E. 16th Street #3, Bellevue, WA 98005, 425-746-9867
Comment: I see quite some people had very nice reviews on them for the repair, replace or seal an existing skylights. But I haven't got time yet to call them up for a quote yet. It appears to me that probably not cheap either.
Mings Glass
6761 Martin Luther King Jr Way S, Seattle WA 98118, 206-722-8662
Comment: They offer window glass repair, recommended by some friends. But I don't know if they would repair skylight, probably yes.
Bellevue WA Skylight Companies Registered with BBB
For skylight repair, I think it is best to check the company on Better Business Bureau to see if they are creditable.
I also asked Home Depot and Lowes, unfortunately, they don't do skylight repair or replacement. They mentioned that I need to find a handyman for that. It turns out that some handyman listed on Bellevue Contractor List could do the work.
Lastly, I also asked my home insurance company if they would cover the skylight repair expense. They said that they would only reimburse the glass replacement for up to $1000.
So there are couple of options I still need to further investigate. But overall, the hole was on the outer-layer of the skylight, the inner layer is still ok. Short-term wise, there is no danger of water leakage.
Other services I've investigated are:

You might want to put some transparent sealant to cover the hole for now.

@lb,
Thanks for your suggestion. I didn't realize that replacing just one skylight window is costing that much of money. For now I will probably get by with a temporary fix.
By the way, according to the previous owner of my house, the skylight is a standard item from home depot or lowes, so, I might just do the installation myself.

let me know if you need help. You probably want to wait until next summer, it takes more than a day for the roof to dry. It is very slippery when it's wet.

@lb,
Thanks so much! You brought up a very good point, I haven't considered the roof being slippery.

I finally got in contact with Royal Glass Co at the recommendation of a friend. They were able to come in and do an appraisal. I am happily surprised that they could replace the glass only. So, I got them to do that and it only cost $230.
Had I went with the full skylight replacement, that would be MUCH expensive, easily could be $600.

To replace windows, I heard Window World is pretty good, http://www.windowworld.com. Their pricing is any size double-hung double-pane white vinyl $189/window.
Also, I heard Tom did a good job for replacing window too. His contact info is at Best Bellevue Home Remodeling Contractor List
